Done for the International Society of Typographic Designers, this brief required participants to research any word or group of words in the English language and trace their origin. The word which we selected was Sinister, which we discovered has Latin origins referring to 'left' or 'left-handed'. We then uncovered how left-handed individuals have been excluded from society in cultures all over the world. This lead us to the decision to create a book which was essentially an ode to the lefties. The publication was designed to be read in reverse, hence the cover being on the "wrong" side. This also forced the reader to page through the document with their left hand. I was responsible for all of the copy content of this book.
