Mauka - classic skateboard shop logo

Here are 2 mockups for a logo I created for a skateboard shop that caters to apparel, boards (both vintage and new), and skate hardware that were popular during the 1970s, when skateboarding was considered more of a sub-sport of surfing. "Mauka" is a Hawaiian word, which means inland or, more literally, toward the mountains. As someone who grew up in Hawaii, I became very accustomed to using directional terms like this, as well as "makai" (toward the ocean), leeward, and windward.
