Context Melbourne airport is set to grow from 37 million travellers to 70 million by 2039. Freestate was appointed to design the airside experience for the dwelling area of the expansion of the international terminal T2 to ensure journeys are efficient, usable and delightful. Challenge How can Melbourne Airport accommodate increased traffic to deliver improved revenue and reputation while delivering a world class customer experience? My role I worked as experience and spatial designer alongside with a lead researcher, lead strategist and a director who looked after the whole process. I got involved in the research as well as translating the insights gathered into the physical experience strategy and design.
