The thesis project ‘the Metadise’ provides a theoretical grounding for the final design project ‘Paradise of Paradises”.
The final outcome of this thesis project is an interactive game/film. The video on the website is a screen recording of an individual playing that interactive film.
The thesis further researched into the architectures of historical paradises alongside ideas of paradise in contemporary Science Fiction, categorizing them into four typologies; The Edenic Landscape, Subterranean Paradises, The Paradise and Anti-gravity paradises.
The interactive nature of the film also allows the project to speculate on a future architecture of archiving; creating spaces that spatialize information through virtual reality. In this case, spatializing paradisiacal moments into one archival virtual paradise.
