Midwifery Support Project with UHCW

The brief was to design a postural support for an ageing midwifery workforce which is in-keeping with the increasingly popular de-medicalised birthing suit environment. Emma designed a postural support specifically for the inevitability of misuse. The product is aimed at post natal suturing but is formed to allow midwives the flexibility to use it in other instances due to the designs ambiguity. It is rotationally moulded in a single mould for ease of cleaning and infection control. It is made from Polyurethane to provide cushioning, preventing pressure points; thus helping to reduce occupational injuries.
