As a woman looking charging head-first into the the freelance copywriting fray, this particular project was everything I was looking for. The client - a female-led magazine aimed at professional and entrepreneurial women - commissioned me to write engaging, yet clear website copy for the launch of their new mentoring programme. As part of my service, we had discovery video and phone calls to discuss the brand, their ethos and their vision, and the editor was able to give me some insight into their new coaching and mentoring platform. In the process I was able to offer advice on marketing from a copy perspective - i.e. promoting the value of using fun, appropriate language used on dating sites, seeing as the product operated much like popular dating apps. For this project I was able to exercise the fun and witty element to writing, while maintaining the brands sense of professionalism. It was highly empowering and inspiring working with a female-led business whose products and content promote and uplift the female professional.
