#MotherWorks exhibited in the Houses of Parliament’s splendid Upper Waiting Hall, hosted by Maria Miller MP, to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Ok, these are not my pictures: I was too busy waving my arms about and talking to some amazing, creative, political, professional change-makers. At The Houses of Parliament for my #MotherWorks exhibition, hosted by Maria Miller MP who said: “With this exposure of women’s experience maybe we can open minds and awareness and make a difference to the decisions made in this place, and the impact on work and motherhood.”
We kicked off the run into International Women’s Day in style! Maria Miller MP has been an amazing supported of #MotherWorks on Monday, March 2nd she hosted and spoke at the opening ceremony of the MotherWorks photography exhibition in The Upper Waiting Hall in Westminster. Many of the stars of the show were there, along with some of the most influential women working to bring diversity and inclusion and (so long-awaited and so badly needed) gender equality to the workplace. Also speaking was Sarah Olney MP who’s International Women’s Day speech 2017was one of the major inspirations of the exhibition and campaign. We continued with fizz and nibbles in the sumptuous Jubilee room where MPs, Drs and board members discussed the issues facing working mums and inspired and encouraged each other to make change. Entertaining, inspiring and thought-provoking, and a few sore heads the next day.
