Under the pseudonym “ANCLA”, I document concerts and festivals with the aim of highlighting our current music scene and its impact on the youth. My main intention is to visually translate the energy of each room. The artist-fan relationship is palpable in every venue. Sometimes tender, sometimes aggressive but always unifying. It’s very strange to walk out of a music show feeling the same way as you came in. The project quickly turned into a personal perspective of what youth meant for me. I was lucky enough to work with Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía on her “El Mal Querer” album campaign. I shot some of her european shows and my photos were seen on her Apple Music album banner, her first ever golden record for “Malamente” and in different interviews. This experience inspired me to connect with other musicians I admired and spend time with them shooting backstage.
