I’ve been involved with the National Theatre in London for several years, assisting in a freelance capacity on production and marketing rollout of all aspects, from cast lists and programmes, event invitations, one-off books and department brochures, posters and adverts of all specifications and digital web materials. In terms of marketing rollout this required interpreting the brand style guide and applying it to the brief, whereas in designing show programmes this meant adapting the assets in a creative way to reflect the character of the production. Each project required a close working relationship with the relevant department and necessarily demanded good time and budget management, print production and presentation skills.
