Neela Jewellery

I have always had a strong interest in fashion and jewellery design and during lockdown 2019 I decided to dedicate my time away from work and university to setting up a small, sustainable business/ project of my own. During the previous summer I had begun designing and making my own jewellery, but decided to take this a step further by repurposing old jewellery and combining it with new materials to make my own designs. I set up an Instagram account 'Neela' to promote my work. It was exciting running my own small business as it allowed me to exercise my creativity through jewellery design, as well as through product shoots and social media marketing. Additionally, it taught me valuable skills in time management, customer service and money management.
