NEW DESIGNERS 2020 - UNIVERSITY OF DERBY: BA (Hons) Textile Design

For over thirty years the Textile Design degree programme at the University of Derby has been at the forefront in creating innovative fabrics across traditional and new technologies. Our graduates are armed with experience that is immediately valid for the contemporary design industry which is reflected in the notable careers that have been secured by a variety of alumni. The programme encourages its students to harness the comprehensive equipment base it enjoys to address specific areas of textile practice. Students are given the opportunity to define the nature of their graduate output independently be it for interior textiles, textiles for fashion or as a medium of expression. In the present uncertain period of enforced isolation we need more than ever, to congratulate our graduates on their inventive approach, positive attitude and determination.
