NHS Bedview Infographic

I worked alongside The Head of IT at the Portsmouth NHS trust to produce an infographic demonstrating the progression of their software Bedview. I created original icons and worked with the existing NHS colour scheme to ensure consistency. The infographic has since been used to inform others and represent the technology around various trust departments. “I had the pleasure of working with Els when we were struggling to produce graphics to represent our software development journey for Bedview. Managing over 1200 patients and averaging 1000 users on a daily basis, Bedview is one of Portsmouth Hospitals (NHS) Trust’s flagship products. Bedview has been recognised by NHS Digital is an exemplar for patient flow and bed management and has also been shortlisted for a Health Service Journal (HSJ) 2019 award. The system was first released in 2014 and has since seen many release versions. Els designed a graphic to represent the product roadmap and to clearly show the evolution. She worked closely with me to understand Bedview and to gain an idea of my requirements. I needed an end product that would be suitable for all stakeholders and easily interpreted. The graphic Els produced was fantastic and I am still using it to this day to support product demonstrations. It was even included to support the HSJ application! It provides the perfect discussion point for the product and has proved to be sustainable with each new feature release. Els proved a great listener who was clearly able to graphically articulate the customer’s requirements.
