Mo-cap Interactive Installation, London, 2018

In-store experience designed to support the launch of the new football boot - Phantom. Players were invited to the participate in the real-life drills like they would experience in football training. Players book their time slots either online or at the store. Upon their arrival they are greeted by CTA video and the staff member who checks them in for the trial via app, which was designed to control and manage the experience.
Three drills were developed to test players’ agility, control and accuracy. Captury mo-cap system was used to track players’ movements and position, and Arduino and Hummingbird laser to track “goals”. Players received a score after each drill based on their performance against time. LED nets were put alongside the cage and were responding to players' movements.
Graphic elements were developed to according to Phantom brand guidelines and were increasing in the intensity closer to the end of each drill to build up the sense of urgency. After the completion of all drills each player was assigned a player’s card with their total score and their position within the leaderboard. This was then emailed to them in the branded emailer.
Installation is live at Nike Town London from July 2018
