NMTC shirt design Brunotti

  • Viviane Leezer

I made a print for a woman t-shirt for the summer NMTC collection of Brunotti. This print was heavily inspired by traffic stop signs. There are multiple color versions of the print. Brunotti was founded in 1979 by windsurfer and board shaper Claudio Brunotti. Claudio, originally from Italy, came to Dutch coast town Scheveningen and started shaping his own boards. Now, almost 39 years later, Brunotti has become an all boardsports brand with more than 50 employees. The products are sold in more than 38 countries worldwide. The Brunotti head office is based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. NMTC // No Matter The Conditions is their new sports fashion collection. Brunotti is a proud sports brand. NMTC was their first start with launching a pure fashion collection. I still wanted that toughness in the visual, as a nudge that Brunotti most definitely hadn't lost their sports edge. This is why I made an illustration resembling an etching print, this made the illustration rougher, daring and outdoorsy. The NMTC Summer collection was inspired by the landscape of New York, which is also what I based my Illustration on.
