Starting as an exploration of Noise in Urban Spaces, and how we struggle to filter and separate that from the visual business of spaces in the City, I set about on a way to intertwine the two. The Tote Bag was one of many outcomes, but perhaps the most appropriate. The sound clip was recorded, and then visualised on a computer. The visual was then translated into a six colour screen print (printed in fluorescent colours) to express that noisy cityscape into something visual and pleasant. Something easily visible in amongst all that noise.
