Northern Lights book cover

The Northern Lights sequel from, His Dark Materials was a personal brief in publishing format. I wanted my design to reflect the narrative of fascination and enchantment by emphasising the importance of ‘dust’. I digitally hand-painted both of the protagonists with a star brush, highlighting the features of the characters through different shades and sizes.
