Norwegian Wood Book Cover Design
BRIEF: To create a book cover for the Penguin Student Design Awards (fiction), for Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. CONCEPT: I focussed on the composition of layers and burning paper to embody the various and intense themes within the novel. EXECUTION: I used incense sticks to burn rice paper and regular paper and photographed the final layouts of these layers. I also burnt into typography for the title experimentation.
