Achievements at the Ottawa School of Art (OSA) included facilitating the participation of Mrs Laureen Harper, the wife of Canada’s 22nd Prime Minister Stephen Harper, in a visual art class with at-risk children and youth as part of a promotional campaign to raise funds for the OSA’s Outreach Program which offers free community-based visual art classes across Ottawa in March 2010; coordinating a visit by the OSA’s Patron, the former Governor General of Canada the Honourable Michaëlle Jean for a private exhibition viewing in February 2010; and increased event revenues from the OSA’s major annual fundraising event by 100% from 2009 to 2010.
