Paradiso

  • Jun Yi Low

The 2020 ISTD Student Assessment brief was to typographically interpret Canto 33 of Dante Alighieri's 'Paradiso' to introduce it to a new audience. To help younger audiences appreciate classic poetry, I designed an interactive book that evokes the wonder and excitement that Dante radiates in his spiritual journey. I'm also incredibly honoured to have been granted an ISTD membership through this submission, and that it was awarded a merit grade!

The following video clips show my first attempt at making parts of my physical outcomes, which was done just before lockdown begun.
NOTE: Changes were made to the designs since printing these out, but I'd still like to include these to offer a better sense of how the book could have been interacted with.
