An information guide for touring artists of Australian dance and electronic festival, Parklife.
Parklife is the music festival that marks the start of the summer party season in Australia. Hosted by Fuzzy, Parklife is Australia's leading dance and electronic event, touring across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
As the senior designer for Fuzzy, I was required to lead the rollout of Parklife's 2011 national campaign. Part of this rollout was the tour diary, a publication given to each artist/ band before the 12 day nation-wide tour that acts as a resource introducing touring artists to the background behind the festival and cities they will be visiting.
Part travel encyclopaedia, part tour itinerary, the Parklife tour diary is a Lonely Planet written with local knowledge outlining recommendations for everything from shopping, tourist attractions and accommodation to food, bars and nightclubs complete with city map, practical directories, festival set times and all connecting flight and transfer details.
The A5 publication was individually personalised for each artist and housed in a heavyweight black cover with blind embossing detail.
