PCM

PCM is the personal thesis project of my product design degree. PCM (Poncho, Carpa, Manta) is a multifunctional product that helps and offers valuable services to the affected families of the Colombian monsoon rains. The end result covers three pivotal necessities. Depending on the number of products a family has, PCM can be transformed from a poncho, to a sleeping bag, and finally into tent. Beyond its practical use, the idea of constructing a necessary tool in a time of crisis by unifying multiple elements brought together by different people conveys a message of union and community. PCM includes the UI design of an offline app the helps users relocate with their family members by informing users where are the Emergency Meeting Points depending on the color of the kit they where assigned (color depends on first letter of the users surnames )
