Perpetrator

'Perpetrator' is a Fashion Photo-book exploring concepts surrounding local women’s safety. ‍The dos-a-dos bind visually represents looking back and forth when walking, with the fear that someone is following you. The title is printed on the reverse side of a woven stock, using a graffiti style typeface, informed by research. The use of graffiti is also present within the publication featuring the words ‘avoid alley’, taken from a Facebook post where a local assault occurred, as well as a heat map of crime within the area. The content focuses on the senses present within the original imagery, reinforcing this idea of fear. Developed as an extension to Creative Direction by Fashion Branding with Communications student, Hannah Dwyer.
