PERSONA

Participating artists: Martina Camani, Jiaqing Mo, Melik Ohanian, Çağlar Tahiroglu. Persona is an exhibition of works by contemporary international artists that investigates and explores the many facades of identity, personality and how they are articulated amongst di erent realms of human life. Sexual identity, digital persona, professional identity and social roles are just some of the themes crystallized by the artworks. e four artworks featured in Persona relate to the eld of psychoanalysis and more speci cally, to Sigmund Freud’s theories of identity and personality. Freud argued that human identity is constantly split, shaped by social demands and pushed by natural drives. Freud schematised this split by classifying three di erent parts of the psyche: ego, id and superego.
