Assigned to work on the eighteenth-century collection of botanical paintings known as the Impey Album, my intention for the exhibition's content and design was to depart from a traditional presentation of art historical material.

Instead, the exhibition was based upon my idea to utilise the collection to invite relevant and critical conversations around colonialism, environmentalism, animal rights, and women in India in history and today.
I hold the belief that poignant words deserve to be complimented by beautiful presentation.
In consciously breaking up classic layouts with contemporary typesetting, my intention for the design of the exhibition was to reflect the past-meets-present focus of the pieces themselves.
To further decolonise the collection, the exhibition also sought to spotlight grassroots crafts initiatives and activism in modern India centred around female empowerment and environmental sustainability.
