During the early days of the company I created a font set out of necessity – the company couldn't afford font licenses for its online platform. Now it's the default font set used across pi-top product range.
Art Direction for Photography
The challenge has always been to show the product in the context of its use cases while making it appealing to the ideal customer profile. The solution was merging ideas borrowed from youth culture and the maker community to create the brand photography.
Motion Graphics
A key aspect of the brand aesthetic was the use of technical graphics, which was expressed with moving typography in video production.
Working with limited resources has always been a challenge in the early days of the start-up. Below is a product promo video I created, using stop motion, while managing the sound designer to create the music, which defined the brand's music style to date.
