Pizzazz | An Interactive Old Hollywood Social Media App | 1950’s | Final Major Project (FMP)

My final major project for college gave me complete free rein over what I wanted to design and create. I chose to focus on my favourite topic that I learnt on the course which was app design. I decided to design an interactive social media app on Adobe XD. I named this social media app ‘Pizzazz’. Pizzazz is based on the theme of old Hollywood. Old Hollywood is the term to describe the classic and golden era of film in theTV industry; it is regarded as a glamorous period of time. I chose old Hollywood because I have always loved the old movies from this time, I have a deep seated fascination with them that makes me feel in awe and inspired. My idea was to create a social media app for this period time with the concept: What would social media have looked like at that time? And how would celebrities have you used it? I spent a bulk of the several months allocated for this project on researching and planning. Then I used Adobe XD and Adobe photoshop to create assets, design my app and make it interactive so that it old be used. This whole process was documented in my notion blog linked below. App design, UX/UI design, was a subject that I really took to in college, I created several apps that helped me develop in my skills. This project contributed in me achieving my second Distinction Star grade at the end of my course.
