Plant-Based Milk Advertising Concept

  • Sinead Devlin

Implicit and explicit designs for 'World Plant Milk Day' promotional adverts. I chose to create imagery that made you look twice- blending cow hide patterns with a 'milk splash' hand drawn outline, and photos of nuts. Rather than creating a design which feels cliched and expected, I wanted to ask the consumer about their lifestyle choices- and make them consider a new milk alternative. I enjoyed layering digital imagery with my own illustration of a 'milk splash' on Adobe Photoshop, and cutting out a cow pattern from them. I added the official 'World Plant Day' logo to each design, to show the purpose of the campaign. For my explicit designs I again developed the cow print/milk shapes into a flow chart questionnaire format. I drew dashed lines on Adobe Illustrator to guide the eye across the page, with bold bubble writing echoing the curves of the other elements. I kept a natural brown, white and cream colour palette throughout, with variations coming from the different nuts and grains that are sources of plant based milk. The set of different nuts and grains are to be used as a full campaign.
