The Whole point in this project was to pose the question - can we reuse plastic in a positive way? More than ever plastic is becoming a major issue in our lives polluting the environment far and wide. Plastic is seen as a world wide epidemic where the complete eradication of the material seems to be the only solution. The creation of it has even been dubbed designs biggest failure.
As a designer I wanted to look at the issue and find a some positive in all the negative surrounding plastic. This exploration led me to designing visuals which were all conceptualised around specific happenings in the plastic process from creation to filtering out into our oceans. However the visual was not the final design…each poster was printed on 100% recycled plastic. On all posters there are clear elements showcasing the transparent material and reinforcing that as designers we can find a way to reuse a material which ultimately will be outlawed in years to come.
