With play being rooted in frivolous children's games, it is often overlooked by scholars and academics who often dismiss it as a senseless activity. Yet there are countelss theorists and social scientists such as Jean Piaget, Lev Vygotsky, Stuart Brown and 'play profession Brian Sutton Smith who all advocate play as a vital part of neurological growth, particularly within the development of creativity in children."
