The Polish Posters School should be seen as a phenomena rather than a defined movement, respectively, artists should be recognised as the participants rather than representants.
According to one of the authors, Franciszek Starowieyski, the posters were simply an answer for needs of a public, as the audience expects the creator to disturb, shock and offend them. Ironic and surrealistic posters mobilised to action, reminded of tradition and made the postwar Poland more cheerful.
