A film discussing the ostracisation of women in the 21st century, Posthumous Parvenues is an experimental performance film which reflects on a selection of personal experiencesin order to explore the problem of recurring misogynistic focus in modern society. The film picks a part an important selection of milestones throughout a woman’s lifetime which are often experienced with conflicting attitudes due to external forces that threaten her liberty. Broken down into four performances; Peri, Pour Les Femmes, Etiolate and Odalisques the film presents to audiences four entities who evoke liberation for the female sex after periods of emotional exertion.
