Whilst working at Disturbing London (in partnership with Parlophone/Warner Music), I had the pleasure of leading the social media angle for the ‘Opp Thot’ campaign, the latest single from UK Drill rapper Poundz. With this campaign being social media heavy, there was a clear desire from the start to target teenagers across the UK from all walks of life, using a wide array of video content centred around the main dance move featured in the song. From being the first to capitalise on the latest meme videos to commemorating every milestone throughout the campaign and more, the efforts from the team and I led to the song peaking at No. 33 on the Official UK Singles Chart (giving Poundz his first Top 40 record), over 7,000,000 views on YouTube as well as 9,600,000 streams on Spotify.
