My design is influenced by Bertold Brecht, using signs to indicate each chapter of the almost graphic-novel style play. At the end of each scene the set would be adapted by the actors; a tally mark would be added to the back wall following each violent act in the play. The picture above is of the final scene, with the tally totalling 10 and the name of the play scrawled across the wall in red paint. The set represents a derilict warehouse full of broken furniture, household items and crates. These ould be used to create abstract representations of each different setting.
