Were excited to release our SS/22 COLLECTION - PYSCHEDELIC DESERT. A trip down memory lane, the mind wanders, to find one’s true self. The total expression and belief that you can be free, wherever you are. Welcome to ARAK’s SS22 - a fantasy world set in a utopian, psychedelic desert, void of light, yet full of color. It’s where cacti grow eyes – they see and feel. Where colorful flying saucers light up the sky and where your footsteps lead the way, following the internal trip you find yourself on. This Spring/Summer season, the brand continues to explore the art of Palestinan embroidery, whilst drawing on from the previous season, namely, through its manipulation of this traditional craft. By going against the cross stitch grid, the brand strives to modernize Palestinian embroidery whilst ensuring it still holds its meaning and tradition. The rotated and mirrored stitches in the designs create a sense of optical illusion, reflecting the theme present in this collection: the euphoric feeling in a psychedelic desert.
