Re-branding Generator Hostels

Generator Hostels was an established and successful, family-owned operation with two properties in London and Berlin. A takeover by a private equity firm has seen eight new hostel’s added to the portfolio with new properties in the pipeline. This aggressive growth strategy is part of a revolutionary vision — creating design led interiors in central locations, with a vibrant atmosphere at an excellent price. A brand was needed that lived and breathed this unique and exciting offer.

The copy had to incorporate attitude, energy and passion in order to connect with a young, savvy audience under the new vision – ‘redefining the hostel experience’. This was then rolled out across all interior branding and way-finding.

A tone of voice packed with personality ensures Generator has a young feel that attracts and engages guests, setting the pace as the place to be.
Copy was completed for the London, Barcelona, Berlin, Hamburg and Copenhagen sites.
