Re-Creation

A choreography collaboration between interior designers at Chelsea college of arts and our one of our artistic directors Tayla Smith. Re- creation is about recreating the archive, using previous movement practice as a starting point and developing it through design and movement. To reproduce the dancing movement , plaster casting was used as a physical element to provide the reflection of making moulds and objects. The designers also used coffee and plain paper to mimic dancing movement, placing them up the wall in response to sketches. The projection that was included provides a visual connection for the audience, representing the past and the present.
