Reclaiming the City

Graphic design work for London School of Economic's City Design Research Studio (of the MSc in City Design and Social Science programme). The zine focuses on the planned redevelopment of the Holloway Women's Prison site in the London borough of Islington - under the title of 'Reclaiming the Holloway Prison Site'. In addition to showcasing the studio's research outcomes, the visual theme (especially the cover) is based on the physical architecture of the prison itself (such as the yellow waves representing the prison borders) and the metaphorical aspect of the word 'reclaiming' (where the title is placed on contrasting textures - a metaphor for the divide and future aspiration of reconciliation between the history of the prison site and the 'outside' world).
