I worked as a Research Archivist for the documentary film “Moonage Daydream,” which was produced and directed by Brett Morgen. My role was to conduct research and select relevant footage and photographs to support Mr. Morgen’s storyboard. My prior knowledge of music and film helped me navigate the collection to choose materials that would support the production team’s vision while ensuring historical accuracy. This experience gave me firsthand knowledge of some of the contents of the David Bowie Archives and the care required for proper handling. Inspired by this experience, during my graduate program at the University of Glasgow I presented on the unique challenges of preserving rock-n-roll memorabilia in museums, further showcasing my interest in the intersection of popular culture and archival practices.
