Richard Hamilton Interpretation graphics

Richard Hamilton (1922–2011) is widely regarded as a founding figure of pop art. The first retrospective to encompass the full scope of Hamilton’s work, the exhibition explores his relationship to design, painting, photography and television.

The shows typography is influenced by Tate's 1970's Hamilton catalogue and exhibition. Only two point sizes are used throughout with type weighting creating hierarchy. A large scale reproduction of his self portrait in Living Arts magazine fills the concourse and uses the original font layout used in the publication.
