Ritual Device is a publication dedicated to addressing contemporary issues through the lens of trans-disciplinary creatives. It aims to create a space for a meaningful and lasting dialogue and conversation and become a tool for political and social engagement. All proceeds will go towards two non-profit organisations that have been chosen specifically for each issue. Issue #1 explores everything anti-system. It calls into question to challenge and counteract the suppression, prejudice and discrimination based on race, gender and class embedded in the existing political, economic and social structures of the UK and US. Contributors include Verónica López, Alexis Parinas, Shadid Omar, Kayleigh De Sousa, Narcís Torrent Oliva, Jade Cormack and Thomas Soyemi. Edited by Maria Isabel Conde Tkatchenko and Cristina Conde Tkatchenko. All proceeds from Issue #1 will go towards Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, a non-profit organisation that works with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to inspire and enable them to succeed in the career of their choice and The United Families & Friends Campaign, a coalition of those affected by deaths in police, prison and psychiatric custody supporting others in similar situations.
