When I realised how eventful my year was going to be (although, really, I had little idea at the time) I decided to write a blog. I reasoned that a blog would ensure that I made something of my trip, creatively speaking, and would help me combine my love of photography with my love of words.
Starting Rowywrites two months before my departure, I cultivated a readership through both Facebook and Instagram, ensuring content was relevant, surprising, and entertaining. High-quality images support my writing and allow me to update my social media accounts regularly, even when external forces prevent new blog entries from being published.
Rowywrites has had its ups and downs, but is blossoming into a visually lush and ever-surprising tribute to the places, people and recipes of my travels.
