Royal Opera House Design Challenge

I managed the ROH Design Challenge programme during my time there. ROH Design Challenge FE/HE works as stand-alone enrichment project to build a student’s portfolio, or can be planned into course content by the subject teacher/lecturer. At this level, the judges are looking for excellence in the design process, the concept of the ‘world’ of the opera or ballet imagined by the designer, and the realised final piece. Students from around the UK submit a portfolio and final piece for judging in the following categories: set design, costume design, hair wigs and makeup design and marketing.
