Together with the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup, Rugby World Cup ranks as one of the top three world sporting events.
As a key Worldwide Partner, Land Rover has been at the heart of the sport for over two decades. In 2015 The Rugby World Cup came home to England, so we created the brand’s biggest ever sponsorship.
WE DEAL IN REAL became a celebration of the passion and camaraderie at the heart of the sport, placing grassroots clubs, their players and their fans on the global stage.
The campaign consisted of a launch film, a set of nearly 80 ident films that played during ad brakes in every game throughout the tournament, and a series of short films for Land Rover's website celebrating the curious stories of 11 amateur rugby clubs from all over the world.
The campaign run in seven countries during the competition. It was directed by Tom Barbor Might with cinematography by Aadel Nodeh-Farahani.

Here's some of the idents we created to give a feel for the tonality of the campaign. We wanted to portray the sport from a quirky, playful and unexpected angle.
And here's one of 11 content films we created to celebrate each of these unique rugby communities around the world.
