When I was working at Rainforest Cafe, the marketing manager introduced a Santa's Grotto in the basement, which has gone on to be very successful. I helped him to produce literature to promote the annual event, I assisted with the booking prcoess from start to finish and crucially helped with a team of others to set up the Grotto.
We made and sent invites, decorated the grotto, packed the goodie bags and worked every weekend from November to Christmas running the grotto with our team of Elves, the booking schedule, two santas and some walky talkys.
It was such a fun project to be involved in from start to finish, from the creative set up, to getting the bookings in and lastly being responsible for running it on the day.
