This concept was done in response to an open creative brief on Talenthouse website. After listening to Seafret's music, I was inspired to create my interpretation of the new album cover.
The music took me on a journey – real yet mysterious, raw yet melodic, emotional with melancholy elements yet making a statement; captivating.
Few of the quotes I read in the brief's description resonated with my own perceptions of the sounds I was hearing:
"delicately plucked acoustics, the gentle haze of rippling electronics and whispering strings"
"Distant crashes of emotions as the rocks on the shore."
As a result I felt inclined to use real (photographic) imagery with a slight twist of "contemporary" yet "dreamlike" mystery, playing with the "real" and "the fantasy"...
