The mood-elevating effect of each spirit is captured in a playful story, that wraps around the bottle. Set vertically, it’s an invitation to interact with the pack, and pause as you pour. The uplifting narratives mirror the progressive effect of drinking the spirits, becoming more exaggerated over time. They first introduce the key ingredients, then quickly ramp up to an unexpected reveal – the metamorphosis into a symbolic spirit animal. The idea of spirit animals is central to the solution. Represented in both copy and key illustrations, it brings an immediacy to the packaging – explaining the transformative effects of the drinks in a memorable way, whilst clearly signposting the difference between spirits. Across the packaging, typography sets an elevated tone for the product, providing the perfect counterpoint to playful copywriting and illustration. The Senser wordmark features subtle up-arrows, to continue the theme of mood elevation, whilst the S monogram sums up the experience, with a figure diving into a portal and re-emerging as a dolphin.
