Sexual Health Campaign

  • Nia Tzvetanova

This is a campaign I worked on individually in 2021, my second year of university. I focused on HIV and STD awareness, as during the COVID-19 pandemic, sexual health clinics marked a significant decrease in testing. This, combined with the so-called "hot vax summer" the following year after self-isolation, could have increased STI. Thus, I believe such a campaign would be necessary to raise awareness that sexual health is essential and people need to take care of it, protect themselves and get tested.

The campaign consists of three posters with a reoccurring character to underline the importance of protection and testing, especially for individuals who frequently change their partners. As HIV is still considered a male-gay disease, I included female models trying to break the stigma.
I used blue and purple as colours close to the NHS. The logo I created is light and fun to present protection and testing positively.
I did some extensive research to find statistics and information that support my arguments.
