Shelter — The Pledge Wall

  • Angus MacKenzie

An Interactive Installation at Shelter's 50th Anniversary Reception — The Pledge Wall had two key purposes: engage individuals in the audience and get them to show their support by simply providing their name. The result was the reveal of a powerful rallying cry, made stronger by the show of support from Shelter’s major donors at the event. Anthony Burrill showed interest in the project and a collaboration began! Moving Image by Max Smith

Anthony Burrills' artwork (below) was printed in an edition of 200, and perfectly sums up Shelter's determination to put an end to bad housing and homelessness once and for all.
One of the prints went on to become the large scale artwork for the Pledge Wall on the reception evening. Creative Review covered the story https://www.creativereview.co.uk/shelter-50-anthony-burrill-creates-new-print-charity/
