Sidney & Matilda

Independent bar and venue Sidney & Matilda commissioned four exterior boards and promotional material ahead of their festival promoting Sheffield’s independent music scene, The Other Festival. The venue needed promotional material to promote their alternative weekend festival which coincided with larger festivals taking place in the city centre. Therefore, deliverables such as the poster needed to grab attention of prospective festival goers and provide an aesthetic that demonstrated the independent sound of the festival and the bands playing. The Sheffield-based venue also wanted four exterior boards outside the venue to grab the attention of the public passing on the street. The four boards are of various sizes and lead up to the venue entrance. Therefore, a design utilising layers of arrows that became increasingly narrower nearer to the entrance was created.
