Siobhan Benita for Mayor of London

  • Stephanie Gabriella Stark

People love London. They identify strongly as Londoners, love its diversity and appreciate the job and business opportunities here. But they also recognise there are serious problems. Sadiq Khan has failed to tackle the city's biggest challenges and let major projects like Crossrail fall off-track. Siobhan Benita will be a kind, ambitious Mayor for London who will get things done. She is proud of the capital's diversity, and cares about the city's future as a lifelong Londoner. As a digital media strategist for the Siobhan Benita campaign for Mayor of London, I wrote, designed and media bought and planned for the campaign, focusing on persuadable Londoners. Persuadable Londoners for Siobhan Benita included EU citizens and those who were distressed with the current political climate and options. For context, the campaign launched in January 2020, just after Conservatives won the UK government election in a landslide, confirming Brexit. My role on the campaign focused on writing for social media, designing and strategically guiding media buying and planning on Facebook. Ultimately, the campaign was cancelled after London's Mayoral elections were delayed until further notice due to coronavirus complications.
